Swansea City vs Watford Live Score and Live Stream - ScoreBat
STAT: Since beating Manchester United at the end of August, Swansea have won just once at home in the Premier League (W1, D4, L4). A mistake from Ake awards the Swans yet another corner as the pressure begins to build on the Watford goal. They have defended capably up to this point, but the rest of the team needs to start doing their part to provide the back four with a bit of respite.

He volleys at goal and makes decent contact, but hits it directly at the keeper. Swansea make a second change, with Ayew giving way after putting in a tireless shift up top. He's replaced by Bafetimbi Gomis, who will be hoping to punish Watford on the break as the Hornets start to throw men forward. DREADFUL EFFORT! Watson is more than capable of sweetly striking a set piece, and he has his chance from 20 yards out, just to the left of goal.
Jurado drags down Routledge in midfield and Michael Oliver brings play to a halt once he realises there is no advantage to be had - and the Spaniard is issued a yellow card. It's almost as it Watford haven't been told they're playing a game tonight. They have been very poor in every facet of the pitch. A large reason for their success this season can be attributed to how hard they work collectively, but we have not seen that just yet. Bravely done by Gomes! There are a lot of eyes on the keeper, despite the fine season he's had to date, with Costel Pantilimon on his way to Vicarage Road from Sunderland. The ex-Tottenham keeper does really well here though in coming off his line to sniff out a through ball intended for Britton, when he knew he would be clattered into if he did.
Neither side have spent a great deal of time in attack, in what has been a relatively uninspiring opening 45 minutes. The Hornets are trying to muster a bit of possession, but Swansea are playing with great confidence. They have plenty of energy off the ball and more than enough depth in defence to deal with the movement of Ighalo and Deeney, who have been starved of service in this first half. STAT: Watford have not lost four successive Premier League games since May 2000. After winning four games in a row in the Premier League, Watford have now picked up just one point in their four games following this streak (W0, D1, L3). Watord are desperately in need of a late push to end this first half.
The Swans have not let up since scoring, back on the front foot and looking for more. The club is in a very fragile state right now, so it's important for them to keep their focus and not let Watford grow into the game, because if they concede it could really deal a blow to morale. STAT: Ahead of MD22, Swansea had conceded the opening goal 14 times this season, only Villa (15) had done so more often this season. Ki was instrumental in the buildup, peeling off to the right to get into space before delivering a inviting cross into the area. THE BIG MAN PRODUCES A BIG GOAL FOR SWANSEA! The Swans send plenty of men into the box for a corner, and although the ball is initially cleared, they manage to keep the pressure on.
SPLENDID DELIVERY! Watson whips in a tremendous free kick from the left flank which Britos rises to meet, between Williams and Sigurdsson. He glances a tidy header at goal from close range, but it crashes onto the roof of the net! Not a bad effort! Jurado is quickly growing into Watford's best attacking outlet and has been head over heels their most direct midfielder in possession. He works a little one-two with Deeney to line up a shot, but his curled effort drifts a couple yards wide of the top corner from range. STAT: Swansea are 11 points worse off after 21 games this season (19) than they were in 2014-15. Williams was walking very gingerly at the end of the first half and was especially struggling as he made his way towards the tunnel, but the training staff seems to have worked a miracle on him as he's back out for this second half and moving without any noticeable infringements as Watford ask a few early questions of the Swansea defence.
CLOSE CALL! That's a very tight decision for the linesman who flags Sigurdsson for offside after a clever routine worked by the Swans following a corner. Had the flag stayed down, and it very well could have, the Iceland international could have been into the box with a real opportunity to carve out a scoring chance. Watford's main focus seems to be on keeping their shape and remaining disciplined at the back, before trying to break with pace on the counter. Their two strikers are more than willing to put in the work, though the midfield has yet to really produce much for the likes of Deeney or Ighalo to chase.

A goal seems to be out of the question, but they have to find a way to tilt the tides a bit or change momentum into the half, or they could be staring a fourth consecutive league defeat in the face. It has been all Swansea in this second half and there is no indication of that changing right now. Ake is the latest to commit a foul, in a similar position on the opposite flank. Sigurdsson's last delivery was beaten away by Gomes, so he will be hoping to do a bit better with this one. No question that's a foul as Routledge escapes onto the left flank to get on the end of a pass from Ki and knock the ball beyond Nyom, before the right-back takes him to ground. A yellow is issued to the defender, but the free kick will be more of a worry for the Hornes.
STAT: Watford have scored exactly one goal in each of their last four visits to the Liberty Stadium across all competitions. The first change for Watford isn't really an attacking one as Nyom, who is on a yellow, is replaced by Juan Carlos Paredes in what is a like-for-like swap. Slowly but surely the tempo is starting to pick up a bit with Watford beginning to throw caution to the wind. They will have little hesitation in sending bodies forward in search of an equaliser, though that won't serve much purpose if they can't start to get their front men some service.
Jordi Amat is introduced as an extra body in defence, at the expense of Ki. Another Watson set piece is dealt with easily by the Swans. This doesn't seem to be Watford's night. Swansea have not broken their focus since the opening kick and they appear determined to keep all three points - which would be good enough to take them back out of the relegation zone. STRAIGHT AT FABIANSKI! A careless bit of defending sees Swansea fail to convincingly clear their lines following a corner, and Jurado latches onto the loose ball.

Ki sends a terrific cross in from the right and there's Ashley Williams to rise and meet it, sending a thumping header in at the near post! Terrific bit of play from Ayew! A pass is absolutely drilled towards him and somehow he manages to control it, while fending off Cathcart. He keeps play alive and works a tidy one-two with Sigurdsson before forcing Gomes into action with a decent strike from 15 yards out. We have entered a bit of a cagey period with the ball largely being contained in midfield. The hosts are still by far the more positive side in possession, but it all seems to be fizzling out for them once they enter the final third.

CRUCIAL BLOCK! Sigurdsson amazes with his skill, dribbling his way beyond a couple of defenders before picking out Ki with a pullback. The midfielder takes the chance first time, but his strike is turned aside smartly by Watson. Watford continue to grow into the game, and they seem to have developed more of an idea on how they want to attack. Jurado sprints forward and spots Ighalo, who gifts the midfielder a return pass, but the Spaniard's shot curls beyond the far post. Modou Barrow W. Routledge Routledge has put in a good shift tonight for the Swans and receives an appropriate ovation as he makes his way off for the final 25 minutes, to be replaced by Modou Barrow. STAT: The Hornets have lost just one of their last five competitive away games against the Swans (W2 D2 L1).
